At Maysand we ensure that our CSR policy is not just some jargon-filled document tucked away in a file gathering dust. We make it part of who we are and what we do on a daily basis.

Many of our employees have more than 10 years service with the company and we actively involve our team in all aspects of the work and bring our CSR policy to life in our offices and on our sites. At Maysand we recognise that as a thriving business we have an opportunity to play a role within our own community here in Oldham. We do not operate in isolation so, when and where we can, we actively engage with our community. That ethos extends to work on sites. For example, on a long-running public project in Lytham, we worked with a local college and produced students’ artwork for the site’s perimeter boards.
On an ongoing basis:
We sponsor the Moorside Marshalls, a locally based youth basketball team.
We support the work of Dr Kershaw’s Hospice in Royton.
We support the work of the Great Ormond Street Leukemia Charity through fundraising activities.
We support Silverdale Cricket Club.
At Maysand we believe in doing what we can to protect the environment, whether that’s cutting back on our own carbon footprint or making use of recyclable materials where possible. Our strategy is not just about complying with the latest legislation. We set clear targets to improve our environmental performance year on year.
We aim to obtain materials from sustainable sources wherever possible. We have ISO 9001 accreditation and through that continually monitor our purchasing practices and internal operations, including energy and transport. Our aim is to make sure we make best use of natural resources and minimum environmental impact.
Our environmental policy means we:
